From Edinburgh in the North to Edinburgh in the South for Santeri

With South Island League looming soon our Men’s Premier side will be strengthened by the singing of Santeri Kuivalainen from Edinburgh University as he moves to Dunedin to attend University.

A Finnish citizen who grew up in the Czech Republic, Santeri played for SK Stresovice and Bohemians 1905 before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland to go to the University of Edinburgh, where he joined the Edinburgh University AFC side who play in the Lowland League and was selected in the Scottish University representative side. A third year of University studying for a Bachelors in Sport and Recreation Management, Santeri will mix his studies with play in our Men’s Premier League side over the next year.

A versatile player who can operate across the midfield or in an attacking role, Santeri will add depth to what is an already talented group of players and will be available from the 1st of July as he arrives in time for the start of the second semester for 2019.
