About The Club

Our Club

Established in 1939 as the football club for students attending the University of Otago, New Zealand’s oldest and most prestigious University. The club now caters for students and staff from the University and the Otago Polytechnic as well as anyone wishing to be part of Dunedin’s most progressive football club

Club Teams

An ever growing club, in 2020 OUAFC has a total of eight teams entered in to the Senior Football South Leagues, with both Men’s and Women’s Premier sides playing in the Regional Football South Leagues. Other club teams are entered in the local Otago leagues with additional teams also playing in the University Social League on Saturday Mornings.

OUAFC is committed to supporting members to achieve, by endorsing the University of Otago objective of providing academic excellence and an outstanding experience

Facilities

OUAFC is based at University of Otago campus, with training fields located at Logan Park (including the Football South Artificial Turf Facility) and a match day field at the nearby Caledonian Ground. The Caledonian also houses our Club Rooms used by the club for hosting after match and special functions throughout the year. All facilities are within a short walk of the University Residential Colleges

Coaching Profiles

Darren Hart – Men’s Head Coach

A long local playing career which stands at over two-hundred Premier games as well as a National Futsal League representative and member of the New Zealand Fustal Team to the AMF 2011 World Cup.

Completing the New Zealand Senior Level Two Qualification in football and an OFC ‘C’ Futsal License holder. Head Coach of the Southern United Futsal team from 2014 to present and the Assistant Coach of the Southern United Men’s Side in 2013/2014.

Stuart Moffat– Women’s Head Coach

Completed the New Zealand Senior B Coaching Award.

Assistant Coach of the Southern United Women’s side in 2018

Significant coaching experience at Junior Representative level and with Senior Dunedin teams.
